School Rules

GENERAL RULES OF CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE

  • All students are expected to arrive in the school premises by 7.50 Hrs. Late comers may be penalised.
  • Students should always be neatly dressed. Formal school uniform should be worn on all working days except Thursday and respective games period.
  • The texture & shade of cloth and monogram should be exactly according to the school.
  • Length of shirt should be upto knee for girls.
  • Trouser should be regular.
  • Turban is compulsory for Sikh boys from class IX onwards.
  • Non-Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals. Long hair is strictly not permitted.
  • Changing of classrooms in between periods should be done in an orderly manner.
  • No student should damage any school property. Any such matter should be immediately reported to the class teacher. Recovery for any damage would be made from the student.
  • Valuable and expensive items such as cell phones, cameras, Mp3 players, watches, pens, articles of jewellery are not permitted. Such items will be confiscated.
  • Students who come to school with their escorts will only be permitted to leave with their escorts and not alone. In case of delay of arrival of escorts they should report the matter to the school and not leave on their own.
  • The school reserves the right to suspend students whose progress in studies is unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful for other students.
  • A student who uses unfair means during examination can be given zero marks in the subject and a warning letter. Repetition of the same will result in dismissal.Repeated absence without leave application or unexplained absence for more than six consecutive days renders students liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls. Readmission will be at the discretion of the Principal of the school.
  • Students leave must be approved by school authorities. Parents are requested to fill the “Leave Record” given in the school almanac.
  • Long leave if required may be granted only on prior written application from parents/guardians.
  • It is mandatory for all students to have 75% attendance as per C.B.S.E. guidelines.
  • A student returning to school after an infectious or contagious disease should produce a doctor’s certificate of fitness otherwise the student will not be permitted to attend school.
  • To maintain proper discipline and encouragement of students certain records such as Anecdotal Records, Portfolios and Yellow Cards will be maintained by class teacher in conformity with the CCE system of CBSE.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

  • Mobile Phones are strictly prohibited. They will be confiscated, if found in possession of the student. In case parents or student have to talk to their guardians, they will contact their class teacher.
  • Students should not leave school premises during school hours without written permission of the class teacher and Principal.
  • Students should not come to school in self-driven vehicles without licence as per traffic rules. Strict disciplinary action will be initiated against defaulters.
  • Students should conduct themselves in a manner worthy of them. Bullying, use of foul language or any other form of indiscipline are not at all permissible within and outside the
  • School campus. Strict action like suspension / rustication shall be taken.
  • Parents must regularly attend the Parent Teacher Meeting in the interest of their wards.
  • Latest circulars of school will be available on the website of the School in addition to being noted by students in their diary.
  • Students wilfully damaging school property will be penalised / asked to replace / repair the damaged property.

ISSUE OF CERTIFICATES AND OTHER DOCUMENTS.

Issue of recommendation letters, bonafide certificates for Tax returns, certificate sowing the Tuition Fee paid to school for reimbursement and other documents as required by parents, will be issued only after a sum of Rs. 100/- is deposited at our Accounts Office and the receipt is produced in school.

PROCEDURE FOR WITHDRAWAL

  • A clear one month’s notice or tuition fee in lieu thereof, is to be given when a student is to be withdrawn.
  • In case of withdrawal, transfer certificate and other security deposits will be released after clearance of school dues.
  • Security deposit will ordinarily be adjusted against the dues still to be paid.
  • If a student stops attending the school without informing the authorities, all charges due to the school have to be paid by the parent/guardian till the date the information is received. This may, in certain cases, amount to fees for the full session.
  • The name of a student remaining absent for 15 consecutive working days without information is likely to be struck off the school rolls.

SCHOOL UNIFORMS

All the students must report to school in the prescribed school uniform. The authorised pattern of school uniforms are as under:

SUMMER UNIFORM (April to October)

BOYS:

  • Shirt: White
  • Shorts: Royal Blue (Class I to V)
  • Pants: Royal Blue (Class VI toXII)
  • Patka: Light Blue (Class I to VIII)
  • Turban: Light Blue (Class IXto XII)
  • Scarf: Light Blue (Non-Sikh boys
  • Socks: White with blue striped border.
  • Shoes: Black with Laces
  • School Belt as per pattern

GIRLS:

    • Pleated tunic (’V’neck) Royal Blue
    • Shirt: White (Class I to V)
    • Scarf: Light Blue
    • Salwar-Kameez: White
    • Dupatta: Light Blue (Class VI to XII)
    • Ribbons: Light Blue
    • Socks: White with blue striped border
    • Shoes: Black with buckles

Note: White T-shirt and White Canvas Shoes are mandatory for all students of Classes III to XII These are to be worn on Thursdays and Games period days only.

WINTER UNIFORM (November to March)

BOYS:

  • Blazer: Navy Blue with school crest
  • Pullover: V-neck (Cashmillon Shade No. 255)
  • Full Pants: Worsted grey (Classe l to XII)
  • Patka: Light Blue (Class I to VIII)
  • Turban: Light Blue (Class IXto XII)
  • Scarf: Light Blue (Non-Sikh boys
  • Socks: Grey Woollen
  • Shoes: Black with Laces
  • School Belt & Tie

GIRLS:

Library

The library is the nerve centre of the school. It provides reading material to supplement and enrich the formal instructions and guidance given in the class-room. The facility is available to all age groups.
For proper utilization of the school library, all students are advised to keep the following points in mind.

  • Library books, magazines and furniture are the property of the school and must not be marked, damaged or taken out from the library without permission.
  • Borrower’s cards are issued to each student from class IX onwards at the beginning of the school year and books are issued to the students on the presentation of these cards. If the card is lost, a payment of Rs. 10/- must be made to obtain a new card. The borrower card must be returned to the Library whenever a student leaves the school.
  • Books can be drawn from the library and kept for a week in the first instance. If at the end of this time, a student has not finished reading the book, he/she can have it re-issued provided it is re-stamped by the librarian. (Students, keeping a book for more than a week without having re-stamped, will be fined at the rate of Rs 1 /- per day, the book is overdue). In case a book is lost the student must pay the cost of it.
  • Reference books and magazines are not issued. They should be consulted in the library only.
  • Any student noticed removing a book or magazine from the library without the knowledge of the Librarian shall be fined.
